Terms of service

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you ("Customer", "you") and — LLC (pending OA-5), EIN — (pending OA-5), — (pending OA-5) ("we", "us"), the operator of Straight Answer at straightans.com. They cover the trial, the subscription and your use of the service. Contact: legal@straightans.com.

You accept these Terms by ticking the separate, unticked checkbox for these Terms, the separate checkbox for the Auto-Renewal Terms and the checkbox for the Privacy Policy on the checkout page, and paying the trial fee.

2. The service

1. Straight Answer runs on-demand AI checks of the live chat on your own website and gives you a report for each check, plus the history of your reports.
2. Every check is disclosed: our AI agent introduces itself as an AI check (AI check by Straight Answer) and never claims to be human. A report shows a score (Answer Index), quotes from the conversation, reply times and suggested fixes.
3. You may request checks only for domains you have verified as yours in your account.
4. Scheduled recurring checks, other channels (messaging apps, email, phone, web forms) and the website audit are not part of the service yet. We may describe them on the site as coming soon; such descriptions are not a promise and are not charged for.

3. Plans and quotas

• Start — $49 per month: up to 3 checks per month, 1 domain.
• Pro — $199 per month: up to 15 checks per month, up to 3 domains.
• Agency — $799 per month: up to 60 checks per month, up to 10 domains.

Unused checks do not roll over. Your report history stays available while your subscription is active. Prices exclude any sales tax that applies in your state, which is shown at checkout.

4. Trial

1. The trial costs $1, lasts 30 days from signup and includes 1 check.
2. At signup you choose a plan. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts automatically to that plan at its monthly price.
3. The date of the first full charge is shown at checkout: your signup date plus 30 days. After that you are charged monthly on the same day of the month.
4. The Auto-Renewal Terms describe the renewal, the reminders and how to cancel.

5. Payment

1. Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered with Stripe; we never receive or store your card number.
2. You authorize us to charge your saved payment method for the trial fee and each monthly renewal until you cancel.
3. We give at least 7 days' notice by email before a price change applies to you; you can cancel before it takes effect.

6. Cancellation

1. You can cancel at any time online: click "Cancel subscription" in your account billing page (/account/billing). No phone call and no forced retention offer.
2. You can also cancel by emailing legal@straightans.com.
3. After you cancel, no further charges are made and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
4. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

7. Your obligations

• Request checks only for websites you own or control.
• Do not use the service to test third-party websites, to harass anyone, or to get around our limits or a website's terms.
• Keep your account credentials safe.

We may suspend checks of a domain whose ownership is not verified or where a check would break the rules of the site hosting the chat.

8. Reports and liability

1. A report reflects one automated check at the stated date and time. It is our opinion based on a single interaction and our published methodology, not a description of your business as a whole.
2. We are not responsible for third-party chat widgets, your website, or decisions you make based on a report.
3. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last month before the claim.
4. The service is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those required by law.

9. Privacy

We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

10. Changes and disputes

1. We may update these Terms. A new version is published here with a new version number; material changes affecting price or billing are emailed to you in advance.
2. Please contact legal@straightans.com first; we reply within 10 business days. These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of our registered office, unless the law of your residence requires otherwise.
