How the trial becomes a monthly plan, when you are charged and how to cancel online.
Draft: this document is pending legal review. Version 2026-10-28.1.
Draft: this text is pending legal review (OA-3).
These terms explain how your Straight Answer subscription renews and how to stop it. You agree to them with a separate checkbox at checkout; the box is never pre-ticked.
What you pay today
- The trial: $1 for 30 days, including 1 check.
What happens after the trial
Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription renews automatically into the plan you chose at checkout:
- Start — $49 per month
- Pro — $199 per month
- Agency — $799 per month
The date of your first full charge is shown next to the payment button: your signup date plus 30 days. After that, your saved payment method is charged every month on the same day, plus any applicable sales tax, until you cancel.
Your consent
By ticking the auto-renewal box you give express consent to these recurring charges. We keep a record of that consent (document version, time, IP address and browser) for 5 years.
Emails we send you
- A confirmation email right after signup with these terms and a link to cancel.
- A reminder 7 days before your trial ends, with the amount, the charge date and how to cancel.
- A yearly reminder of your subscription terms.
- Notice 7 to 30 days before any price change takes effect.
- A receipt after every charge.
How to cancel
- Open your account billing page (/account/billing) and click "Cancel subscription". It takes one or two clicks; there is no forced retention offer.
- Or email legal@straightans.com.
Once you cancel, no further charges are made. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Legal background
These terms are written to meet the disclosure, consent and cancellation requirements of the federal Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA) and of state automatic renewal laws such as California's and Colorado's (Colorado's also covers business customers). This summary is not legal advice; where a law of your state gives you more rights, those rights apply.
The full agreement is in our Terms of Service.
